Down Syndrome
Down Syndrome, a genetics-based disability, is often a harsh reality. Parents and caregivers face a life-long task of caring for their loved ones. Gifford Neurology improves Down Syndrome people’s quality of life through Gifford Neurology Therapy.
Research
We studied the effects of Gifford Neurology Therapy on three severely intellectually disabled Down Syndrome men aged 26, 38 and 38 years They could not speak, had severe rage, and behavioral problems. At the end of six months of therapy all three could speak and were happy, positive, helpful family members.

Table 1 shows points of improvement in ICARS and SB5 between their pre-therapy exams and then after 3 and 6 months of therapy. Look at the Points of Improvement column. These changes are miraculous! Plain and simple. Look next at Table 2 and see Effect Sizes and their power.

Effect size 1 shows the power of 3 months of Gifford Neurology Therapy. All areas of intelligence had very strong improvements except Knowledge and Working Memory. After 6 months of therapy the effects were large or very large for all variables.
