Dementia & Falling

The effects of aging start earlier than we think. Have you ever gone into another room and can’t remember why you’re there? Do you forget names of people you used to know very well? Or maybe you forget what you’re supposed to do? Are your balance and coordination worsening? Have you fallen? These symptoms are common and at Gifford Neurology they’re treatable. Our Gifford Neurology Therapy  sharpens your thinking and memory, and improves balance and coordination.

Research

This research study included 134 Senior Adult patients aged an average of 83.59 years. Some of them were confined to wheelchairs or walkers, and others that had lost their ability to speak or recognize family.

Examinations included The International Cooperative Ataxia Rating Scale (ICARS) and the Rowland Universal Dementia Assessment Scale (RUDAS). Data in Tables 1 and 2 (highlighted  yellow) show the effectiveness of Gifford Neurology Therapy.  Each participant was examined before and after 3 and 6 months of therapy.
